How to Make Klepon Sweet Snack From Java

Klepon is very popular in Java. It is made from gloutinous rice flour with palm sugar or coconut sugar inside.  It is better served with shredded coconut. Klepon usually use pandan paste as the flavor.

How to Make Klepon

Preapare some Ingredients ; 1 cup glutinous rice flour, 1/3 cup lukewarm water1/2 tsp pandan paste, 50g (coconut palm sugar), 1 tbsp white sugar / brown sugar, 1/2 cup dessicated / shredded coconut, pinch of salt.
How To Make Klepon

1. Bind the gloutinous rice flour with warm water into smooth dough. 
2.  Add a little of pandan paste in the dough. 
3.  Chop palm sugar add a little of white sugar and put aside. 
4. Pinch small dough and fill it with the chopped palm sugar and make the dough into a small ball.
5. Boil some water.
6. Put the balls into the boiling water , let it the balls in the boiling pan until the dough is well done. 
7. Take out the dough from the boiling pan after about 2 or 3 minutes.
8. Prepare shredded coconut.
9. Put the balls in the shredded coconut and roll them. 
10. Now, Klepon is ready.
